Description:
The argan, or Moroccan olive tree, is thorny and a favourite climbing place for goats. With surprising ease, they cling to its branches and settle down to eat the argan, a fruit very much like an olive with a nutritious pulp. But they don't eat the extremely hard stones. Local inhabitants collect these stones, which contain the almonds from which this priceless oil is extracted. The oil is prepared by hand, exclusively by women, in every hearth and home.
